Job Description

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

 

Under the direction of the Human Resources Director the HR Benefits Manager is responsible for administration of employee benefits for all Fort McDowell Enterprises.

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Five (5) years of human resources experience required and Bachelors Degree in Business Management. Two years of human resources generalist experience preferred.

 

REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

 

    • Develop and implement all Annual Enrollment plans.
    • Administer employee benefits programs such as retirement plans; medical, dental, vision plans; life insurance plans; and wellness programs.
    • Implement approved new plans for changes to existing plans by preparing announcement materials, plan summary documents, and other media for communicating plans to employees. Conduct employee meetings and arrange for enrollment. Advises management and employees on existing benefits.
    • Conduct presentations during orientation sessions; explain benefits and eligibility to new team members
    • Assists in development of Annual Enrollment plans, benefits, safety, wellness and health, services, and counseling.
    • Responsible for the administration, proper entry, storage, security, and use of employee personal data.
    • Administers the 401(k) by coordinating 401(k) loans, distributions, and hardship withdrawals.
    • Makes final decision regarding approval for all 401(k) Hardship Withdrawals through submitted documents.
    • Creates reports for all data entry relating to 401(k) and Life Insurance plans.
    • Responsible for the billing related to 401(k), Life Insurance plans, and all billing related to the Human Resources Dept.
    • Responsible for retrieving personnel information and aids in reporting to proper management when requested.
    • Aids in company employee communication regarding benefits, safety, wellness and health, services and counseling.
    • Stays current on all regulations concerning employee records.
    • Responsible in the administration and approval for all FMLA leave request for all Enterprises.
    • Responsible for adhering to all applicable laws in relation to leave, including Family Medical Leave Act.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Experience in ADP Workforce Now Payroll preferred.
    • Maintains confidentiality.
    • Performs other related duties as required.
    • Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
    • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
    • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
    • Must be 21 or older.

WORK CONDITIONS:

               

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

 

  1. Sit for 67-100% of work day.
  2. Computer use and hand and eye coordination 67-100% of work day.
  3. Stand and walk for 1-33% of work day.
