JOB SUMMARY:          

Under the direction of the Promotions Director the Promotions Coordinator is responsible for coordinating functions and special on and offsite promotions. Performs special projects under the direction of the Promotions Director. Develops and manage weekly, on-site promotions and prizes. Assist the marketing team on all major events including slot tournaments, promotions, New Year’s Eve, and other special events. Coordinates with all departments on all tournaments, promotions parties, special events to produce coupons, posters, signage and invitations. Works with departments on financial data as well as complete all pro-forma and post-forma evaluations to their promotions. Communicates details of all promotions, entertainment, and promotional events to all departments. Assist with holiday events and community development functions. Exercises judgment and initiative when reviewing and evaluating dept. needs, specifications and requests. Works effectively with each dept. mgr. to ensure that the casino is reaching our customers to initiate repeat business.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 3 years of marketing experience. 
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university with major coursework in facility management, hospitality management, business management, marketing or related field. 
  • Strong math aptitude and ability to attend to detail.

REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

  • Responsible for organizing, implementing and creating visual displays and all in-house promotions themes.
  • Coordinates and develops current and future promotions.
  • Must be knowledgeable in all areas of casino promotions and customer incentives.
  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills and be able to exchange information with others in a clear and concise manner, present ideas, facts and technical knowledge effectively.
  • Must have computer skills in Microsoft Office applications and word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation and Internet software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with the public, other employees and clients.
  • Proven job reliability, diligence, and dedication.
  • Must be flexible with working nights, weekends and holidays.
  • Works in a fast pace environment.
  • Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be 21 or older.

WORK CONDITIONS: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: 

  1. Sit and walk for 67-100% of work day.
  2. Eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of work day.
  3. While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
