Job Description


Under the direction of the Director of VIP Services, the Casino Host is responsible for identifying, developing and sustaining quality working relationships with players in ways that enhance customer loyalty and develop the casino’s business. Maintain these relationships through high visibility, personalized customer service, knowledge of player benefits and current promotions. Responsible and accountable for making sound reinvestment decisions based on guest play. Augment special events through telephone contact and/or personal communication, attending such events and participating when appropriate. 


  • Must be eager and comfortable in approaching and building new guest relationships.
  • Greeting all guests individually and pleasantly with a positive, pleasant and cheerful demeanor.
  • Must have proactive, spontaneous, “above and beyond” approach to guest service.
  • Must be knowledgeable on all promotional events and daily activities.
  • Provide resolution of guest complaints in a manner that goes beyond what is expected.
  • Must have knowledge of all casino comp guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional, well-groomed business appearance.
  • Provide information and explain Fortune Club benefits, property amenities and marketing programs to our guests.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively in English both orally and in writing.
  • Must be able to interact well with internal and external customers and work as a team member.
  • Maintains confidentiality and discretion in all areas including the dissemination of trade secrets, planning and promotional procedures and customer information files. 


  • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to exchange information with customers in a clear and concise manner
  • Minimum 2 years Casino Host, Marketing, Sales or Customer Service experience
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to interact effectively with the Fortune Club Representatives.
  • Must be able to maintain focus in a high volume, fast paced environment.
  • Must be able to work in a smoke-filled environment.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
  • Strong customer services skills.
  • Possess excellent organizational, customer relations and communication skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office programs such as Excel, Outlook and Word.
  • Must demonstrate excellent phone etiquette.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be able to lift 40 pounds and push or pull 100 pounds
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check)
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must be 21 or older 

Native American Preference

Preference is given to qualified Tribal Members of the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.  Preference is filling vacancies is given to qualified Native American candidates in accordance with the Indian Preference Act (Title 25, U.S. Code, Section 472 and 473).

Preference will be given to qualified applicants who are members of federally recognized Native America tribes.  To be considered for Native American Preference, you must submit your Certificate of Indian Blood (CIB) or Tribal ID with your application.
