Job Description


To provide the customer with a secure, comfortable environment through ongoing preventative maintenance programs. The Resort Maintenance supervisor is responsible supervising the Maintenance workers when repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems, and infrastructures.



  • Position will be responsible for supervising the maintenance workers
  • Assist in maintaining inventory controls
  • Maintains compliance with sanitation laws.
  • Communicate with Resort Maintenance Engineer regarding all aspects of maintenance operations.
  • Responds to both customer and resort staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately
  • Maintains problem log book to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
  • Reports any hazards or injuries in the department or resort
  • Prepares preventative maintenance cart for use each day
  • Supervises the replacement or repairs of all appliances and damaged bathroom fixtures; executes general plumbing as needed
  • Supervises the maintenance of rooms
  • Ensures the equipment is operated effectively and efficiently by directing and supervising the operation of all running equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspection of kitchen and laundry equipment
  • Maintain and repair resort laundry and kitchen equipment
  • Coordinates and prioritizes distribution of repair maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders
  • Checks and monitors the completed work
  • Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
  • Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary
  • Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned 


  • Requires a minimum of 3 years’ experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • HVAC Certified
  • Requires technical skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc.
  • Supervision experience at properties of similar size and quality
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English 


  • Must have the ability to balance, see, hear, speak and walk
  • Must be able to lift a minimum of fifty pounds (50) 


While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to: 

  • Balance, bend, hear, reach, see, stand and twist for 67-100% of work day.
  • Work in cramped quarter for 67-100% of work day.
  • Eye/hand coordination and wrist motion for 67-100% of work day.
  • Sit and walk for 1-33% of work day.
  • While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
