JOB SUMMARY:

Ensures the efficient operation of shipping and receiving materials by supervising and coordinating activities of employees engaged in verifying records of incoming and outgoing shipments.

           

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

 Associates degree and three years of relevant warehouse experience (including 2+ years of previous supervisory experience required)

 REQUIREMENTS/DUTIES:

  •  Warehouse Lead will oversee the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods
  •  Ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock.
  • They plan the arrangement of goods within the warehouse and organize special requirements for certain stock, such as chilled goods or fragile products.
  • They ensure productivity targets are met and maintain computerized administration and automated storage and retrieval systems.
  • They manage teams of workers and deal with personnel issues such as the training and discipline of staff. Warehouse Leads also oversee picking, packing and distribution activity.
  • Motivating, organizing and encouraging teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met; training staff and monitoring their performance and progress.
  • Communicating with other departments, staff groups and customers.
  • Overseeing stock control and processing orders, ensuring quality, delivery and budget objectives.
  • Carrying out responsibilities for the use of automated and computerized systems.
  • Keeping stock control systems up to date and planning future capacity requirements.
  • Producing regular reports and statistics on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
  • Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment.
  • Overseeing the planned maintenance of vehicles, machinery and equipment.
  • Must be knowledgeable on all health department regulations.
  • Must have valid food handler’s permit.
  • Must have valid title 4 training.
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be 21 or older.

 

 WORK CONDITIONS:

 

     While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  1. Exposed to dust/smoke and work in hot/cold temperatures for 34-66% of work day.
  2. Balance, bend, crouch, use of ladder, reach stoop, twist and walk for 34-66% of work day.
  3. Eye/hand coordination, handling and wrist motion for 34-66% of work day.
  4. Sit for 1-33% of work day.
  5. While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
