Job Description



  • Responsible the overall quality and playability of the golf courses, assuring that it is maintained within budgetary guidelines
  • Promotes the Fort McDowell philosophy of excellence that has established We-Ko-Pa Golf Club as a premier resort facility. 
  • Maintains an open communication with the General Manager and the  Fort McDowell Yapai Nation.
  • Responsible for directly supervising the daily maintenance operations.
  • Projects a professional image at all times
  • Controls expenditures and establishes budgets
  • Maintains up-to-date, accurate records of all Fertilizer and Pesticide applications
  • Responsible for performing a daily inspection tour of the golf course, walking each green if possible
  • Responsible for the hiring and training of all maintenance personnel
  • Prepares annual budget for golf course operations
  • Adjusts the work assignments as needed to take care of any details before golfers play through
  • Makes detailed plans for future improvements to the golf courses
  • Maintains up-to-date, accurate records of all fertilizers, pesticides, man-hours worked, capital expenditures and improvement project costs.
  • Keep abreast of current innovations in turf grass management.
  • Performs other related duties as required. 
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be 21 or older.



  • College education or its equivalent is required.
  • Must have GCSAA status and state pesticide applicators license.
  • Must have valid driver’s license
