WEKOPA RESORT & CONVENTION CENTER is a 4-diamond deluxe property situated on the eastern edge of Scottsdale and Fountain Hills, offering tremendous views of the mountains, adjacent to Fort McDowell Casino.

JOB SUMMARY:

Directs and supervises subordinate personnel in the day to day responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department. Must be knowledgeable in the daily housekeeping operations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain and lead the highest cleaning standards to meet and exceed the expectations of our valued guests.
  • Maintain and grow AAA Four Diamond Standards
  • Must be able to create cleaning schedules for offices, card room, bingo keno and slot areas, including all restroom facilities and selected areas of food and beverage that will accomplish a high and level of cleanliness in the facilities at all times.
  • Responsible for purchasing all supplies for the housekeeping department.
  • Creates schedules for all shifts, under the direction of the facilities maintenance director.
  • Reviews and approves Opera Reports and Labor Reports
  • Ensures a safe environment for guests and employees, inspecting floors for possible slip and fall hazards in the building.
  • Responsible for developing, training, and ensuring sound safety practices are followed.
  • Responsible for setting standards and guidelines for the proper handling of various chemicals and ensuring that those standards are adhered to.
  • Maintain an efficient and accountable lost and found department
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • College preferred
  • Should have a minimum of five (5) years Supervisory experience.
