JOB SUMMARY:

Under the direction of HVAC Supervisor. Requires experience with central plant operations or equivalent type equipment, including control and Programming Logic Controller.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

Requires a minimum of four (4) years experience with Central Plant operations (or equivalent) or trade school certification, and an EPA certificate in refrigerant handling.

REQUIREMENT/DUTIES:

  • Must be knowledgeable of repair methods in various maintenance duties, This includes plumbing and welding with a main emphasis on heating/cooling systems.
  • Must be familiar with chillers, high temperature hot water boilers, air compressors, pumps, cooling towers, air handler units, exhaust fans, electronic controls, electrical components, and be able to work on them with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to work from drawings, verbal, and writer direction and recognize systems and equipment deficiencies and take corrective action
  • Must be knowledgeable in all facets of HVAC systems including kitchen equipment. Must be able to perform active physical labor, including lifting, pushing, and/or pulling 50 lbs.
  • Required to provide and wear OSHA approved safety shoes.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a State/Tribal license.
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test.

WORK CONDITIONS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

  • Balance, bend, climb, crouch, reach, stand, stoop, twist and walk for 34-67% of work day.
  • Exposure to electrical hazards for 34-66% of work day.
  • Eye/hand coordination for 34-66% of work day.
  • Exposed to dust/smoke for 34-66% of work day.
  • Exposed to fumes/odors/grease/oil for 34-66% of work day.
  • While working on casino floor, employee is exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
