JOB SUMMARY: Works under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor in the repair and maintenance of the building during his/her assigned shift. Must be able to perform general repairs in the areas of carpentry, cabinetry, plumbing, and cosmetic painting repair. Must use proper tools and exercise good safety practices. Performs other duties as assigned. Must have valid Arizona driver license and cleared by the gaming center’s insurance carrier to drive company vehicles.

JOB COMPLEXITY: Will be required to work shift work. Must be knowledgeable in the repairs of various types of equipment. Under the direction of the carpenter must be able to perform carpentry duties and fabrication/installation of cabinetry. Must have knowledge of patching, plumbing, painting and welding. Must be able to work with minimum supervision. Required to complete reoccurring maintenance of designated equipment. Must be able to operate a forklift. Will assist in maintenance projects at various other tribal enterprises as directed. Performs other duties as required. Must be able to work in a casino (smoking) environment. Must be able to perform active physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs.

ACCOUNTABILITY: Shares in the responsibility of the proper maintenance of the establishment (plumbing, painting, carpentry, welding, etc.) Required to attend scheduled safety meetings.

  • Responds to work orders and accomplishes tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must be knowledgeable in the repairs of various types of equipment.
  • Must be knowledgeable of various maintenance duties, including carpentry, patching, wall papering, brazing and soldering, etc.
  • Must demonstrate safe use of various hand tools, power tolls, (i.e. drill motors, drill press, sanders, etc.).
  • Makes suggestions and recommendations to the maintaining of equipment/systems in a state of readiness.
  • Drives gaming center vehicles, operates forklift.
  • Will assist in maintenance projects at carious other Tribal enterprises as directed.
  • Required to attend scheduled safety meetings and understand the safe operation of all vehicle and power equipment.
  • Performs other duties as required.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must be 21 or older.
  • Must have a valid Arizona driver’s license.
  • Must be capable of being insured by our insurance company.
