Job Description


  • Oversees the installation, configuration and maintenance of networked information systems including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers and access points for all entities within Fort McDowell Enterprises
  • Researches and makes design and equipment recommendations to the Network Engineering Manager
  • Monitors and maintains documentation for all network-related infrastructures
  • Assists with systems, servers, and telecommunications engineering and provides support as required.
  • Maintains a thorough understanding of Internet technologies (DNS, IP Routing, HTTP/HTTPS, VPN, Email Routing, Spam/URL Filtering)
  • Installs and configures Cisco Security devices (ASA Firewalls, IDS/IPS Appliances, ISE)
  • Designs, sets up and configures complex switching environments (Cisco Catalyst switches, NEXUS product lines)
  • Designs, sets up and configures complex wireless networking that supports open or secured access and the ability to support voice and video applications (Wireless LAN controllers, Cisco Aironet series access points, Cisco Prime application suite)
  • Performs network analysis and monitoring (Solarwinds)
  • Troubleshoots malfunctioning network hardware and software applications, telephones, and security systems to resolve operational issues and restore services
  • While working on the casino floor, the employee will be exposed to high level of second hand smoke and noise daily.
  • Must be able to lift in excess to 50 pounds and push or pull 100.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain State/Tribal License (including extensive background check).
  • Must pass pre-employment drug test.
  • Must perform various other job related duties as assigned by management


- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar IT related field and/or 3+ years of industry experience within an IT networking field is required

- Current Cisco CCNA Certification required (CCNA Security and\or CCNA Wireless specializations preferred). CCNP Routing and Switching and/or CCNP Security a plus.
