Job Description


Responsible for answering all incoming and interoffice telephone calls in a professional and courteous manner and routes calls to the appropriate parties.



  • Required to screen each telephone call
  • Responsible for processing any paperwork or records as required
  • Directs callers to appropriate person by operating the hotel switchboard
  • Responds to caller inquiries for information
  • Demonstrates proficiency in using the equipment
  • Assists guests make long distance calls and access the internet by instructing them on appropriate procedures and/or placing calls
  • Sets up guest wake-up calls
  • Contacts appropriate departments to fulfill guest requests
  • Takes accurate complete messages (and/or forwards calls into voice mail system)
  • Keeps current on hotel accommodations, services and area attractions
  • Must have knowledge of gaming center events, promotions, etc. in order to provide accurate information to guests
  • Receives and forwards faxes, guest mail, packages and messages promptly
  • Prepares phone lists and reports
  • Completes checklist on a daily basis
  • Responds to inquiries about the hotel services
  • Performs other related duties as assigned



  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 year experience as an operator.



  • Must be able to sit, stand, see, and hear
  • Must be able to lift in excess to 20 pounds
