Job Description


  • Responsible for checking, repairing and servicing machinery, equipment, systems, and infrastructures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all machinery and equipment runs smoothly and reliably through planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance and responding to breakdowns.
  • Determine daily, weekly, and monthly financial operating plans.
  • Assist in preparation of annual budget and forecasts for maintenance department.
  • Establish and maintain inventory controls
  • Direct and maintain compliance with sanitation laws.
  • Communicate with Facilities Maintenance Director regarding all aspects of maintenance operations.
  • Assure property operation meets internal audit standards.
  • Maintain MSDS procedures and other requirements according to OSHA standards.
  • Work very closely with the Facilities Maintenance Director on joint projects and other areas that require a group effort
  • Monitor vendors to assure quality, delivery, warranties, and exchanges are utilized.
  • Responds to both customer and resort staff reports of non-functioning equipment immediately Maintains problem log book to record the equipment in need of repair and prioritizes efforts accordingly
  • Maintains overall appearance of rooms; replaces broken mirrors, hangs fixtures, does touch-up painting, etc.
  • Takes immediate action to correct rooms into operating condition by performing repairs
  • Ensures the equipment is operated effectively and efficiently by directing and supervising the operation of all running equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance inspection of kitchen and laundry equipment
  • Maintain and repair resort laundry and kitchen equipment
  • Coordinates and prioritizes distribution of repair maintenance orders and planned maintenance orders
  • Checks and monitors the completed work
  • Creates preventative maintenance schedules for all equipment throughout the Resort including HVAC, Boilers, Fire Safety and other mechanical plant equipment
  • Repairs and maintains room's heating/ventilating/air conditioning systems
  • Repairs furniture, carpet, marble, tile windows, mirrors and decorations as necessary
  • Maintains operating equipment in working condition by performing routine equipment checks and repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • HVAC Certified
  • Requires technical skills in electrical, mechanical, plumbing, chillers, cooling towers, chemical treatment, boilers, refrigeration, compressors, etc.
  • Must have math skills
  • Must have experience at properties of similar size and quality
  • Must be able to read, write and communicate fluently in English
