Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS AND DUTIES:

  • Prepares work assignments for Room Attendants, Inspectors and Housemen
  • Maintains complete control of room status through constant communication with Front Desk, Room Inspector and Engineering via PBX and radio
  • Responsible for updating the daily schedule for the following day occupancy
  • Maintains a log of all daily calls and requisitions for housekeeping services and assign the requests according to daily staffing assignments posted on the schedule
  • Reports promptly to Engineering/PBX all guest and employee requests made from guest rooms regarding repairs or malfunctioning items
  • Must display telephone etiquette at all times by answering the telephone promptly before the third ring.
  • Maintains the housekeeping office, housekeeping storage and laundry room clean at all times
  • Provides Inspectors with a list of VIP guests and early departures
  • Logs all Lost and found items through the online Chargeback system and checks all emails for any guest request on any missing items
  • Enforces the dress code policy consistently and ensures that the staff wears a name tag at all times.
  • Verifies accurate room status with Room Inspectors and updates housekeeping room control
  • Maintains a neat and clean professional appearance and attitude at all times
  • Keeps manager informed of any items pending
  • Distributes work assignments to Room Attendants, Inspectors and Housemen promptly
  • Maintains accurate records for follow -up on guest requests
  • Enforces all conduct, policies and procedures for the department
  • Monitors staff schedule and assignments ensuring consistent productivity
  • Assumes all responsibilities delegated by the manager and assists the manager with any requisitions needed
  • Must be able to work under pressure.
  • Must have great attitude, great communication and customer service skills
  • Must be able to communicate in English (read, write, speak)
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willing to follow direction from management and communicate to them any incidents or issues that might come up
  • Perform other duties as assigned or required

 

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

- High School Diploma or GED preferred

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office

- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a supervisor in a hotel/resort environment

-Bi-lingual a plus
